Activation of KOMI Doc Office Manager

KOMI Doc Office Manager is a software solution developed for the filing and indexation of documents in KOMI Doc. The type of the Microsoft Office document to be file can be Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Outlook. The three basic features are:

  1. Filing and indexation in KOMI Doc of Microsoft Office documents directly from Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  2. Filing and indexation in KOMI Doc of one or more Microsoft Office documents at the same time (multiple selection or selection of a documents folder) directly from Windows Explorer's contextual menu.
  3.  Filing and indexation in KOMI Doc from Microsoft Outlook:

            o Filing an email in PDF format, with its attachments.

            o Filing of one or more attachments only.


The use of KOMI Doc Office Manager requires an windows administrator account on the local machine where it is installed.


Installing KOMI Doc Office Manager
Make sure you have closed all Microsoft Office applications before installing KOMI Doc Office Manager

Installation Steps – KOMI Doc Office Manager

  1. Right-click on the KOMI Doc Office Manager (.exe) file and select Run as Administrator.
  2. The setup home page will appear. Click Next.
  3. Click Next again to proceed.
  4. On the confirmation page, click Next to start the installation.
  5. Wait until the installation completes.
  6. Once finished, click Close.

Post-Installation Configuration

  1. Double-click the KOMI Doc Office Manager – Add-in Manager icon created on your Windows desktop.
  2. Enter the IP address or URL of your KOMI Doc server.
  3. Check the SSL box to enable a secure connection (if SSL is activated on your server).
    •  SSL port: 8443
  4. Enter your KOMI Doc username and password.
  5. Click Save to store the configuration.

Installing Office Add-ins

  1. Double-click the KOMI Doc Office Manager – Add-in Manager icon again.
  2. Under the Installation tab, activate the desired Office add-ins.
    • Click the "Install all available Add-Ins" to start installing all of the add-ins.
    • The status bar at the bottom will show installation progress.
  3. Once all add-ins are installed, click Close.


When the installation is complete, a new KOMI Doc tab will be added to Microsoft Office. It contains a "File" button used to file a document in KOMI Doc. And for Microsoft Outlook. It contains a button «Add-ins » used to file a document in KOMI Doc.
